Thank you for enrolling at Fierce Studios.
We at Fierce Studios aim to provide a caring, pleasurable and professional dance class to students of all levels and ages. The studios faculty desire to apply our past and current professional experience in delivering caring and supportive qualities to each and every student. We look forward to getting to know you and experiencing your growth in the wonderful world of dance.
Schedule/Observing Classes
The schedule for 2012 has been finalised. Terms are run on the State School Terms and classes are held on all public holidays. Parents are allowed to observe classes in progress on the mezzanine level, although careful consideration with your dancer should be taken. Please discuss this with your child to see if they are comfortable with you constantly viewing class. There is to be no viewing of ballet classes due to excessive noise level. Children must have a guardian present on the mezzanine level.
Fees
Fees can be placed in our locked security box located behind the front desk. Fees can also be paid through Internet banking or cheque/credit card/eftpos. There is an enrolment fee of $20 per family for 2012. This is a one off fee to cover all associated admin costs and student licenses/insurance. This is payable on enrolment or by the first lesson.
Absences
Please be aware that no refunds or credit will be given for missed classes, although classes can be made up during the same term with any other class of the same value. Please notify staff before attending the make up class.
End-of-Year Costumes & Fees
$50.00 (Cash Only) deposits for the end of year performance costumes will be collected approx. Week 6 of Term 2 by allocated mothers. Costumes will only be handed out to the students nearer to the concert date once all fees owing to Fierce Studios are finalised, whether costumes are paid in full or not. We try to keep the price of costumes down but they can range from $80.00 - $120.00 each. Please be prepared for this. Notices will go out about costumes closer to the time.
Grooming
All dancers are expected to attend dance classes in appropriate outfits. School uniforms and street clothes are neither appropriate nor safe for dance classes. Our new ballet uniform is available for order/purchase through Lisa Siddell. 0422 880 770 / 5485 1441
Class Behaviour
In the interest in the safety of all dancers, everyone is expected to abide by the studio rules and follow requests made by the instructor or the faculty of Fierce Studios.
Ballet
Students participating in the R.A.D. ballet exams from Grade One onwards will be required to attend a minimum of 2 ballet classes per week and any other classes that are scheduled for specific exam training. Exams will be held in Aug/Sept. Notices will go out about exams closer to the time.
Performing Groups
To maintain and ensure a professional standard, it is a requirement that all students involved in performing groups attend ballet class. Class entry is by invitation only and new students are introduced at the beginning of Term 2.
Concert
The concert dates are always held on the last weekend of November, and for this year that is Friday the 30th of November & Saturday the 1st of December.
